Datuk Dr. Ratha Krishnan Sriram is widely recognised as the only Colorectal Surgeon in Sabah, offering specialised care across colorectal and general surgery with a patient-centred approach. He previously served as Head of the Colorectal Surgery Unit at Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Kota Kinabalu, where he established the unit as a centre of excellence, before moving to Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu.
Advanced Surgical Training
Beyond his core surgical qualifications, Dr. Ratha undertook further fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgical techniques in Taiwan and South Korea — keeping his practice aligned with the latest advances in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery. He now performs robotic-assisted colorectal procedures using the da Vinci Surgical System available at Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu.
