Robotic-Assisted Precision for Colorectal & General Surgery
Datuk Dr. Ratha Krishnan Sriram is fellowship-trained in laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery (Taiwan & South Korea), operating with the da Vinci Surgical System at Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu — for smaller incisions, greater precision and faster recovery.
Enhanced precision, for outcomes that matter
The da Vinci Surgical System translates Dr. Ratha's hand movements into smaller, filtered motions through a 3D high-definition console — reaching areas of the pelvis that are difficult to access with traditional laparoscopy.
- High-definition 3D visualisation of the surgical field
- Tremor-filtered instrument control for finer, more accurate movement
- Smaller incisions than open surgery — less trauma, less scarring
- Typically shorter hospital stays and faster return to daily life
